| Description: | COVID-19 imposed a reality marked by the adoption of innovations in public health, socio-economic production, education, and social interaction. At the State Distance University of Costa Rica (UNED), the implementation of changes revealed progress in organizational trends, strengthened by greater digital and social competencies. Distance and online education are a model for the future, shaped by digital transformation, curricular and disciplinary flexibility, the human right to connectivity, and the emerging field of Artificial Intelligence. This analytical essay, based on the systematization of institutional experience from 2020 to 2025, identifies complex changes affecting UNED as a whole and its individual members. |
