Diğer Bilgiler:Central America, one of the most vulnerable regions in the world to the effects of climate change, requires urgent preparedness, adaptation and mitigation measures to reduce the risks and magnitude of the expected effects, however, policies in this regard are insufficient. Vulnerability in the region will increase significantly by 2030, with Belize, El Salvador and Honduras in acute vulnerability. Rather than passive attitudes, as seems to be the rule in several countries, it is necessary to plan for the worst climate scenarios to avoid catastrophic consequences that would distance the region from any possibility of sustainable development.
