Miêu tả:Introduction: Alabama argillacea is a species of moth widely distributed throughout Central and South America. It is a potentially harmful pest that affects cotton crops. Despite the above, there is no concrete information about its life cycle. Objetive: Therefore, the objective of our work is the description of the immature stages (larva and pupa) of this species and some aspects of its natural history. Methods: The different stages of 65 individuals were observed and measurements were made, which were initially collected from larvae. The different stages were described in terms of morphology, duration and some aspects of their natural history. Results: In general, the morphometric description coincided with other studies. The duration of the pupal stage differed from that recorded in the literature. Conclusions: Different behaviors of the larvae were observed on plants of the genus Abutilon to those described in the literature on cotton, which is justifiable because they are plants of a different genus.
