Descripció:Aging is associated with a progressive biological deterioration and increased health problems, resulting from the interaction of biological, psychological and social changes, conditioned by genetic aspects, lifestyles and environmental factors. On the other hand, nutrition plays a very important role in aging through the modulation of changes in different organs and body functions associated with this process. The physiological anorexia of aging is equally relevant in weight loss with age which makes member s of the elderly population very vulnerable to the development of various diseases. In this research, it is intended to address anorexia and malnutrition in aging from a comprehensive perspective to better understand the processes involved such as pathophysiology, psychological, social and environmental factors, as well as diagnosis and treatment. There is a need to comprehensively understand the affore mentioned and therefore it is intended to perform adequate research of each clinical case in order to provide better quality of life to the elderly.
