| Omschrijving: | The topic of electoral campaign funding is important, not only because of the amount of money spent (43 thousand million colones for 2014, equal to 0.19% of the GDP of our country), but also because of the inadequate controls on these expenses. The juridical solution for the irregularities that are occurring falls short because those in charge of passing the pertinent legislation are those benefiting (in greater of lesser extent) from squandering or wasting the financial resources of a poor and developing country. |
