Pathological exams of diseased tadpoles indicated infection by amphibian chytridiomycosis. The local habitat has been severely altered by recent establishment of large-scale leatherleaf fern production. Analysis of water chemistry at our study site suggested increased nitrogenation associated with the leatherleaf industry.
