Περιγραφή:On August 31, 1895 Porfirio Diaz resigned as head of the Mexican Great Symbolic Diet, a body emerged from the confluence of the Supreme Grand Orient of the United Mexican States and the Supreme Council of Scottish Rite. It was a deal backed by the Federal government, with the aim of having politically controlled lodges. However, due to internal problems, the Oaxacan ended up leaving their responsibilities in that institution. This is to be taken as a justification for an analysis of the treatment, in regards to the Fraternity, made by the liberal-oppositional press of the country, through the study of Diario del Hogar. Thus, the article seeks to provide an overview of the treatment of Freemasonry in said newspaper and possible journalistic repercussions of Diaz's output in said Masonic body.
