Miêu tả:The rise of population in the coastal ecosystems leads to pollute and damage the environment. This study analyzes ‘Las Marites’ Lagoon neighborhood in Margarita Island, Venezuela, its implications on water quality. The data is taken out of official census population. An increase population in the area is observed from 1989, specifically an upsurge of inhabitants in García Municipality area. Therefore, a demand of urban services becomes a need, as a result, it creates an increase of nutrients and coliforms from the urban necessities that produce to diminish salinity, as well as a surge of dissolved inorganic phosphorus (PID) and coliforms bacterial and fecal.
