The project aims to analyze how the concept of heritage has been built in Costa Rica, specifically in San Jose City, the capital. In this paper is a review of the postulates of the principal authors of the cultural studies to define a scheme applicable to the case study analysis. The article is divided into four sections: begins with the work of the pioneers of this type of study in England, then its impact is analyzed elsewhere, for example, the development of postcolonial studies in India , the work of Latin American authors , and finally make reference to their impact on the development of cultural studies in Costa Rica. |
