Opis:The objective of this text is to show the references to Hesiod present in the ideal State proposal proposed by Plato in the Republic. To do so, it first shows the similarity between the Platonic need to explain the configuration of the ideal polis from a story about the origin of its formation and the attempt of Hesiod to narrate, from its beginnings, the emergence of everything that exists. Secondly, the influence of the Hesiodian myth of metals in the conception of the structure of the State just proposed by Plato is highlighted. Finally, the similarities between the government of the philosopher and the sovereign work of Zeus are presented.
