الوصف:This essay constitutes an introductory interpretation about the Cold War in the Central American region. For the realization of the analysis, the international bipolar order system resulting from the Second World War is first studied; soon to approach the Latin American event in the middle of the Cold War, with the interventions in Cuba and Chile; the crisis in Central America, framed in a process of authoritarianism of long duration; the defining features of the crisis of political power during the 1980s, with increasing militarism; the difficult path to peace, from the proposal made in Contadora, to the signing of the agreements by the different countries. In the end, it concludes with a recapitulation of what happened between the overthrow of Árbenz in Guatemala and Noriega in Panama.
