For the realization of the analysis, the international bipolar order system resulting from the Second World War is first studied; soon to approach the Latin American event in the middle of the Cold War, with the interventions in Cuba and Chile; the crisis in Central America, framed in a process of authoritarianism of long duration; the defining features of the crisis of political power during the 1980s, with increasing militarism; the difficult path to peace, from the proposal made in Contadora, to the signing of the agreements by the different countries. In the end, it concludes with a recapitulation of what happened between the overthrow of Árbenz in Guatemala and Noriega in Panama. |
