| Miêu tả: | Oral Bribri stories in Talamanca tell about the rivalry between God and a major devil. They include an episode in which roosters, ready to be eaten, are revived. A similar episode is part of a miracle recounted along the pilgrimage road to Compostela, Spain. The subject of a resurrected bird in Bribri oral tradition may have indigenous origin; it is also possible that the native people heard in colonial times one or several versions of the roasted fowl miracle. The episode of the revived cock is included in a Bribri story which includes musical instruments and other topics. |
