Περιγραφή:This article discusses the theoretical meaning of democracy in order to explain the conceptual and practical implications of this term. It refer the legal rise of the National Socialism in the Weimar Republic as a case study for the comprehension of democracy as government and ethos. In part one, It describe this rise; in second part, It discuss the anti-statist theses of the economist H. -H. Hoppe, for whom the german case is an example of the instability of democratic government. Finally, It use the critical theory of Habermas to question both the theses of H.H. Hoppe and the supposedly democratic constitution of the Weimar Republic.
