| Description: | The goal of this article was to review the most common temporomandibular disorders according to the Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular disorders (DC/TMD) emphasizing in the criteria for headache attributed to TMD. By presenting a clinical case that shows the characteristics of a patient with masticatory myofascial pain, arthralgia of the temporomandibular joint and headache attributed to TMD. A case of a 34-year-old female patient is presented, the diagnostic process and its approach: self-care, modification of parafunctional habits and behaviors, physical therapy and pharmacological support. |
