Kuvaus:The terrestrial gastropods of the northeastern region of México were studied. Sixty genera, 159 species and 24 subspecies belonging to 27 families were recorded. Are micromollusks 19.64% of the species. Helicina chrysocheila Binney, Succinea luteola Gould, Thysanophora horni (Gabb) and Praticolella berlandieriana (Moricand) are the species with greatest distribution considering habitat features. The main zoogeographic feature was the endemism (44.7%: 71 species). The malacologic provinces of the Sierra Madre Oriental and Veracruzana, in northeastern México, are proposed. The malacologic collections ITCVZ, University of Florida and Academy of Natural Sciencies of Philadelphia are the most important for the region.
