Miêu tả:The objective of this research is to give an overview of Brazilian products on educational Mathematical Modeling (MM) and identify design and trends in MM in secondary education. The research is divided into three stages: basis of design and trends; search and analyze of the papers on modeling in the proceedings of events on math education and modeling. A total of 64 products on MM in secondary education were used, organized into classroom practices and theoretical essays. From four principles (motivation, activities, content and references, and considerations) three conceptions of MM are indicated: methods of teaching and research, alternative pedagogy for math, and the learning environment. They are conceptions that, once recognized by teachers of MM, lead to an understanding and, in the case where they are adopted into their educational activities, reinforce the trend.
