| Popis: | Deficiency symptoms shown by coffee plants, when two essential nutrient elements are withhold, are described. Test plants (Coffea arabica var. typica) were grown in the field in polyethylene bags for a year, then transplanted to nutrient solutions in the greenhouse. Symptoms are described for calcium-boron, calcium-magnesium, magnesium-potassium, and potassium-calcium deficiencies. The effect is discussed of the respective treatments on element accumulation in the leaves, differential cation absorption, and translocation of elements. |
