Miêu tả:As human beings develop, they must acquire skills or behaviors that prepare them for life in a group and thus be able to integrate into society. A deficit in emotional regulation strategies can lead to poorly adaptive behaviors. On the other hand, social skills help people relate to others, integrating and communicating effectively. The objective of the present study was to identify the relationship between Social Skills and Emotional Regulation Strategies in children; 400 infants aged between 8 and 12 years participated (M = 10.19, SD = 1.40). The results show the adaptive role of the Emotional Regulation Strategies 'Positive reappraisal' and 'Refocus on plans' with respect to the Social Skills of children, proving that children's ability to manage their emotions appropriately is a condition that guarantees success in their interpersonal relationships and in coping with problematic situations.
