Las fiestas en El Gran Gatsby: cruzando fronteras textuales y temporales

| Kuvaus: | Enmarcado por los postulados teóricos de los estudios culturales, más específcamente de los estudios fílmicos y su relación con los textos literarios, y complementado por la teoría del carnaval de Mijail Bajtín, el presente artículo analiza la escena de la festa en la novela de F. Scott Fitzgerald titulada El Gran Gatsby. Para ello, se utiliza el texto escrito y se comparan las dos últimas versiones fílmicas realizadas en los años 1974 y 2013. Framed by the theoretical precepts of Cultural Studies, specifcally within the feld of flm studies and its relationship with literary texts, and complemented by Bakhtin’s theory of carnival, the present article analyses the scene of the party of the novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and entitled The Great Gatsby, using the written text and comparing its latest flmic versions made in 1974 and in 2013. |
