Miêu tả:This document seeks to analyze part of the historical journey through the introduction and development of contraception in the life of Costa Rican women by the State. The investigation begins in the sixties, which is when greater access to contraceptive devices began to be facilitated. In those years, there was an alert about a possible population explosion, about an overpopulation catastrophe and the need for family planning. With the passage of time and with the integration of other social actors, the discourse varied towards the centrality of human rights and particularly to the issue of reproductive rights. From this, some of the challenges currently emerging from this context are pointed out.
