| Disgrifiad: | The main purpose of this article is to establish the definition of a profile of the new development strategy in Costa Rica. This general framework is based upon the historical conditions that characterize the different phases of the outgrowth of the Costa Rican state and in its power alliances. The main feature of the new strategy of development is determined by neoliberal policies drawn by the Costa Rican state in alliance with the interests of two economic groups: coffeegrowers and private financiers. |
