| Disgrifiad: | In the onset, let me clarify that Peace is understood in its four dimensions: Military Peace, Environmental Peace, Social Peace and Individual Peace. To reach a state of Peace, in its four conceptual dimensions, is the most necessary and urgent task of mankind. We may say this is the most universal problem we all face. It is recognized that Mathematics is the most universal science. The quest: how can these two universals be conciliated? It is naive to say that Peace is a concern of a different kind. History of Mathematics shows that the violations of Peace and the progresses of Mathematics have mutually benefited from an intimate been association throughout the evolution of the human kind. This paper focuses on the responsibility of a mathematician in redirecting her/his intellectualinstruments, particularly Mathematics, for the search of Peace. |
