| Kuvaus: | Several improvedcommon bean varieties have been released in differentcountries of Central America and the Caribbean in recentyears. National bean programs and other organizationsinvolved in variety release processes have designated thesame varieties with different names. In the short term, thissituation can cause confusion in the identification of theimproved bean varieties currently utilized by farmers. Thepurpose of this document is to serve as a reference forresearchers, farmers, seed distribution agents, governmentofficials and traders, in making decisions regarding the use ofthese improved varieties for commercial production of grainor seed, industrial processing and marketing in the region. |
