Description:The drug use, abuse and addiction focused from the protagonist`voices is the topic of the ethnographic research project whose partial results are shown in this paper. Based on ethnographic material, especially derived from in-depth interviews, we analyze through an assembly of stories how heroin addicts in Ciudad Juárez build an alternative subjectivity tobiomedical and legal discourses. In sum, this subjectivity is building by their appropriation of the healthcare´s speech which is embedded in their folk culture, thus generating their own discourse and subjectivity.
