| الوصف: | This investigation intends to point out important details that contribute to the development of Costa Rica, as a nation in the second half of the XIX century. There are some important technological advances that contribute to give the nation the character of a modern society equal to some important capitals of the world. One of them is electricity and public lightning, which makes San José the third capital in the world to have public lightning, trams that cross the city, as well as the underground cable. Education plays a key role in this modern society, which makes it public and free. The cycle is finished with the University of Costa Rica. |
