| বিবরন: | Growth and gonadal maturity in Crassostrea columbiensis were studied from February 1984 to February 1985, in Punta Morales. Puntarenas, Cosla Rica. The weight-Iength relationship was P=1.04 x l0" . The von Bertallanffy equation for total lenght was U =8.6 (1-e -0.1567(1 .(U23)). The mean sex ration was 1.00 male: 0.82 females. The mean condition Index (IC=PCFIPVF x 100) for the populalion was 11.79 :t 5.02 % and lhe mean meal yield was 9.) :t 4. 11 %. Sexually mature individuals are found throughout the yeat. Spawning activity was highest in May and October. |
