| Opis: | The results of this research are aimed at finding the meaning of the concepts and constructs in the present existence and uniqueness theorem of first order ordinary differential equations This is done because it is a topic which lacks meaning in its teaching and learning. Both, textbooks and the scholar mathematical discourse, focus on making algebraic procedures where the compliance with the initial hypothesis is studied to ensure the existence and uniqueness of the solution. Therefore, in this work the objective of signifying the involved concepts in the construction of this knowledge is proposed. The hypothesis of this research is that behind the arguments there is a conducting thread which must organize the conditions for existence and uniqueness of the solution. The results show that this thread corresponds to the prediction, which is now something that is assumed as obvious. This allows us to approach a social construction of this knowledge by focusing on the practices. To test this hypothesis, we rely on the Socioepistemological Theory because we want to know the practices that are helping the social construction of this knowledge. For this, this knowledge becomes “problematized”, performing a documentary analysis which begins with a historiographical study and later the study of primary and secondary works of mathematicians which pose this problem and develop it, marking its evolution. This allows us to determine meanings of the notions present in the theorem and to offer a different approach to this educational problem of the existence and uniqueness of the solution. |
