| Descrição: | The tribus name Leptaspideae Tzvelev is, according to the rules of botanical nomenclature, correct for the taxon represented by the genera Leptaspis, Pharus, and Scrotochloa. The name Phareae Stapf, which most authors use for this taxon, is illegitimate, and in place of Pharoideae (Stapf) L. G. Clark & Judz. (a name based on Phareae) the new subfamily name Leptaspidoideae is here introduced. |
