Description:Lean production practices and the implementation of lean thinking in the supply chain are not only aimed at reducing businesses' waste, but also at improving operational performance. This study aims to explore the integration of lean production into operational performance through lean supply chain. To this end, a survey was conducted on a sample of 460 manufacturing firms. The results show that lean production has a positive impact on operational performance, as does lean supply chain. Similarly, lean supply chain has a positive impact on operational performance, and also acts as a catalyst of the relationship between lean production and operational performance. In this context, the findings allow us to conclude that lean production improves the operational performance of manufacturing firms; however, when lean supply chain acts as a mediating variable, it significantly improves the company's operational performance.
