Descripción:The use of computers, video consoles and mobile devices has become normal in our daily lives.  This has influenced school education and has produced methodological changes in the teaching-learning process. The aim of this study is to analyse the use of QR codes as a P.E. teaching tool from the student’s perspective, more precisely, in an orienteering race. A total of 22 students from both sexes, ages 18 to 23, participated in the study. Data was obtained from an ad hocquestionnaire consisting of 20 closed questions. A quantitative analysis was used, with both descriptive and frequency statistics. The results showed that the majority of participants had good previous knowledge of QR codes. Regarding the activity itself, most of them think this type of learning activity is motivating and incorporating QR codes in an orienteering race is appealing. Moreover, they claimed that it helped them consolidate their knowledge and that evaluation with QR codes was more engaging when compared to a written test. In conclusion, the results obtained from this experience positively reinforce the integration of QR codes as a teaching method in P.E. classes and as an emerging educational tool with great potential.
