“Polacos” en Cuba: primeros pasos del comunismo judío en la isla

Descripción:Although the presence of the Jewish community in Cuba goes back to the sixteenth century, is in the twentieth century when it reached a higher profile, especially, in the political arena. This article discusses ghe activities of that group of immigrants known as “Polacos” in their relationship whith the local labor movement and the revolutionary also, immdiately before the formation of the Omunist Party and during his contituent assembly. From the analysis of some of its most representative, as Fabio Grobart, we examine the first Cuban Jewish organizatons such as the Cultural Center and subsequently the hebrew section.
