Beschreibung:Introduction: This paper examines the processes used in the staging of Migrantes: tocando timbres by Grupo de Teatro Girasol (2015) of the University of Costa Rica, highlighting its relevance within the context of Costa Rican social theater. Objective: It aims to analyze the dynamics of stage creation implemented during the staging, with an emphasis on the specific contributions of the direction and the cast. Methods: A qualitative approach was adopted, based on semi-structured interviews with cast members and a review of the group’s reports, with the purpose of identifying the phases of creation and the methodology applied by the direction. Results: The findings reveal collaborative and investigative creative dynamics that consolidate a coherent and meaningful theatrical narrative influenced by the theme of migration. Conclusions: The directing methodologies and collective dynamics had a significant impact on the group’s artistic practice, positioning the play as a benchmark in contemporary Costa Rican social theater.
