| Cur Síos: | Routine formulas are a type of phraseological unit used in common, stereotyped, or ritualized communicative situations, fulfilling specific functions within conversation. These phraseological units have a varied syntactic structure; for example, some may consist of a verb in the imperative mood. In the Antioquian dialect of Colombia, several formulas are formed with imperative verbs, such as “no jodás,” “hágame el favor,” and “oigan a este,” which can serve various functions in discourse. Therefore, this study aims to conduct a descriptive analysis of the pragmatic-discursive functions of the formula “oigan a este” in written contexts, in order to determine the illocutionary forces with which it is associated. To this end, the theoretical frameworks proposed by Corpas (1996), Alvarado (2008), and Penadés (2015) in the field of phraseology are used, along with the work of Haverkate (1994), Austin (1962), and Searle (1969) in the field of pragmatics. The corpus analyzed consists of written texts of different types, including literature, newspaper articles, and interactions on the social network X. The results identify three illocutionary forces linked to the use of the formula: disagreement, rejection, and reproach, with the first being the most frequent in the sample. Finally, methodological considerations regarding the analysis are presented, and future research lines are suggested to explore this formula from perspectives not addressed in the present study. |
