Descripción: | In Costa Rica, Thomas Francis Meagher has been studied as a traveler who visitedthis country three times. The first trip was in 1858. Meagher published three articlesrecounting the experiences of that first travel. While he is a historical figure knownin the Costa Rican academy, there has been little interest in his close relations withthe filibuster William Walker and his connection with the administration of JoséMaría Montealegre. This article discusses the first of these dimensions. |
