Descripción:The incidence of syphilis has increased over the last decades. Asymptomatic in many cases, it progresses to later stages due to lack of early diagnosis and treatment. Neurosyphilis can develop as an early or late complication. Among its several clinical forms, eye condition can be one of them. Although rare, its suspicion is of clinical relevance to start treatment quickly and improve visual prognosis. We present the case of a 54-year-old male patient, whose manifestation of bilateral optic neuritis lead to neurosyphilis as its diagnosis.
