Study of Lalay Cañari ritual celebrated in the southern Andes of Ecuador

Description:In the Cañari culture of Ecuador, for centuries, the Cañari Lalay ritual has been performed, transmitted for generations. The ancestors have transmitted with wisdom. However, due to Inca and Spanish conquest, the ritual has lost its essence. Historians describe relating to myths and legends. In the present paper, a study was proposed to reveal mysteries about the ritual. To do this, a compilation of tests and information was carried out through interviews and surveys to the native inhabitants of Cañar. With the obtained data, the statistical analysis was performed.
