Descripción:This work consists of two clearly differentiated themes. In the first, in a very general manner the development of the political class in San Ramon and its insertion in to the power structure of the nation state is described, with attention to the reasons offered by the Costa Rican historical context in its double variables: as an ideological apparatus and as a power structure. The second theme attempts to offer a systemized reading from the anthropological/cultural and literary constructions that are woven in to the general text of the culture and that give rise to the denomination of “San Ramon: Land of Poets”. The interest of this theme is to create a scientific process with the aim of providing the residents of this district with some theoretical/conceptual instruments that serve as the launching point for the research and affirmation of its cultural process and identity.Between these two themes in a tangential manner are underlined by the category of culture, which arises but is not developed. This is left as a proposal for further study of that subject.
