| Omschrijving: | In recent years, strategic alliances have drawn considerable attention in the strategy field. An alliance may be seen as a half-way house on the road from market to hierarchy. This paper examines Grant and Baden-Fuller’s knowledge accessing theory of strategic alliances. Grant and Baden-Fuller argue that the development of an effective knowledge-based theory of alliance formation has been inhibited by a simplistic view of alliances as vehicles for organizational learning, but the primaryadvantage of alliances over both firms and mark-ets is in accessing rather than acquiring knowledge |
