Description:In certain contemporary intellectual circles, there is a fascination for politic antagonism as constitutive of the social fabric, often without paying attention to the differences of each kind of conflict. Although some sociological theories offer a rich framework fot thinking conflict, dichotomous treatments of the subjet that distinguishes between constructive and destructive conflict still persists, and it reduces the hetereogeneity of struggles to a funtional or pragmatic perspective. This article advocates for a systematic description and a theoretical schematization of imaginary, symbolic and real registers of conflict (under a quasi-lacanian model of the borromeo knot). In this way, a pluralist polemogy is outlined, capable of accounting for the nuances, interweaving and convertibility of human conflicts, all without giving in to the temptation of idealizing antagonism
