Descripción:Generally when discussing the guerrilla movement in Central America one instantly thinks of El Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala. Honduras is considered a country that fell outside of bloody conflicts of the 1980's. However, it is necessary to clarify that this is true only to a certain point. In Honduras-perhaps not to the same extent as in neighboring countries it must be accepted there were also violent political manifestations. On the other hand, few have given weight to explaining the causes that led to a relative political stability in Honduras during the referenced period. Still with all the shortcomings of the Honduran guerrilla organizations, one should not overlook the fact of their existence in a society whose dominant social sectors attempted to project an image of "an oasis of peace" in the midst of an entire region submerged in warfare. Such is the case of one of these organizations, which conducted a series of actions aimed at highlighting the social contradictions that prevailed-and prevail- in Honduras.
