Descripción: | Alan Badiou considers the political event a a subversion equivalent to a Revolution. In his philosophy, the most illustrative example of this condition is the French Revolution, particularly some important moments between 1792 and 1794. The problem than can be pointed is that the “political event” is separated or abstracted from its historical and socio-economical context. My argument maintains that, due to this abstraction from its context, the happening of the event cannot be observed within the moment from which it was separated. The example of the French Revolutions enriches this hypothesis, because what occurred between 1792 and 1794 is a “trans-event” whose effects transcend the mere political sphere. Beyond this, we find the economical, historical and social spheres. |
