Descripción:Management and life cycle concepts can be applied to development projects (global project) where water wells are required. The construction of wells can be visualized as a subproject in the global project.Two phases are recognized in this subproject: feasibility and installation. During both phases, thehydrogeological consultant plays an important role.This document summarizes a series of ideas about the role consultants play or should play in this type ofprojects. No new techniques or concepts are presented, but an application of the current knowledge in this field.A definition of costs and a guide to prepare a cost’s structure is presented. This structure can be used by theconsultant and also by the investor and its economical-financial team, to choose the optimal alternative of a wellwith the lowest cost . A real case example is developed..
