Descripción: | Population of climbing weeds in banana plantations of Costa Rica have increased over the years. Taxonomic identification of these species is needed as a basis for other studies. This study is an attempt in such direction, one that should be fine tuned in the future, since identification for many of the climbing species is rather difficult. Surveys were conducted at several farms of the Atlantic region of Costa Rica. Cucurbitaceae, Araceae and Fabaceae were the families with the greater number of species. |
