Περιγραφή:This report has been conceived as a base document for the International School Seminar Costrucción de Capacidades en las Ciencias Matemáticas (CANP 2012). Here we have summarized the main aspects of the historical context in the training of teachers, the structures involved in the initial training of mathematics teachers, the content of this training according to the pensa of the careers in the institutions that train the majority of the teachers, a discussion about the continuing education programs, the more recent actions in the initial and continuing education as well as the main strengths, weaknesses, threats and challenges of teacher training in the Dominican Republic.
