その他の書誌記述:Proteins are a key to a deeper understanding of the behavior of Gram positive bacteria such as Enterococcus faecalis, one of the most frequently detected species in root canal-treated teeth, with a high prevalence report.  Such proteins contribute to cell wall synthesis and maintenance and are important for interactions between the bacterial cell and the human host. An E. faecalis strain isolated from root canal treatment failure and an ATCC strain was used for the proeomic analysis using Mass spectrometry. A total of 22 proteins were identified the majority of protein found were related to metabolic and housekeeping process, including metabolism energy, and protein synthesis. The present proteome analysis gives an experimental impression of the protein landscape of the pathogenic bacterium E. faecalis. These proteins stand out as interesting targets for further investigation of the interaction between E. faecalis and its root canal environment.
