Descrizione:This article explores the meaning and use of philosophical and ethical approaches in Public Health in general and, in particular, in the new MAS-Bienestar model, currently being implemented in the state of Tabasco, Mexico. This approach is presented as a response to the limited analysis carried out on health management activities from a social science perspective. The methodology is based on a discursive criticism about the philosophical and ethical approaches of the mentioned before health care model, with interest of alert about the inclusion of these approaches without an explicit justification, which is essential. In this regard, arguments were offered to contribute to reflection on the topic under discussion and to stimulate research on the conceptual framework that supports health care models, beyond the discursive level.
