Descripción:The interest in studying regional literature, respecting the political division of the Mexican Republic into states, has become unattractive if we think of a disciplinary approach, since neither literature nor writers define their style based on this circumstance. However, by relating literature to the nature, the possibilities of attention are multiplied because other perspectives are added to the literary proposal itself that bring back the qualities of artistic representation of the environment to our present. Certainly not all Veracruz literature explicitly expresses its interest in non-human alterities, in the environment or, in general, in nature, but it is possible to recognize through literary representations and configurations its different territories, its diverse spaces: telluric, atmospheric, aquatic, architectural; its flora and fauna, which makes it feasible to recover sensitivity towards other forms of life. The recognition of biodiversity through literature is a pending task on the cultural and scientific agenda of the south-southeast region, in particular in the state of Veracruz, so this work seeks to show the relevance of incorporating the ecocritical perspective as a strategy to understand and disseminate the poetic biodiversity of Veracruz.
