| Beskrivelse: | The Veronicellidae of Cuba is reviewed and the following species are recognized as valid: Veronicella cubensis (Pfeiffer, 1840); Veronicella tenax Baker, 1931; Veronicella sloanei (Cuvier, 1817); Leidyula floridana (Leidy y Binney in Binney, 1851) and Sarasinula plebeia (Fischer, 1868). Geographic distribution, basic taxonomic characters and the historical reasons that caused the confusing synonimy of the group are discussed on the basis of typological work on Cuban specimens. |
