Descripción:The article proposes a qualitative and interpretive approach based on film and textual analysis. It is built on the premise that cinema is an artistic representation capable of producing and questioning ideas about the body, gender, and identity. The transformation of the main character, Alexia, and her monstrous pregnancy by her car is interpreted as a metaphor for the patriarchal control over the female body and the fluidity of gender identity. The study draws on concepts such as the abject and the uncanny to unravel representations of femininity, queer sexuality, and resistance to social norms present in the film. The research also considers the use of color and intertextual references to deepen the narrative and symbolism of the film, highlighting how body horror subverts traditional expectations of pregnancy and childbirth.
